Snow Mold Disease
Snow Mold disease generally will occur in early spring just after snow melt, when temperatures are mild. It often develops under the snow cover in areas where compaction will occur. These areas are along sidewalks and driveways. The grass in these areas become matted, being closely pressed to the ground causing the turf to literally suffocate. Although infrequent, severe symptoms may cause the turf to die.
Repairing these areas can be relatively simple. raking the effected spots will fluff the grass up allowing air to flow between the blades. Better circulation means poorer conditions for fungus to develop.
Spring Readiness
Raking your lawn in the spring time is a beneficial activity for your lawn and yourself. Raking removes any unnecessary debris from the lawn and lifts the turf to allow more air circulation and light penetration. Raking along with our spring application gives the lawn a big boost and puts it on its way to become a "thick carpet of grass"
